With two artisan certificates granted by the Island Council of Menorca, both as a furniture restorer and as an object decorator, Magda Triay is a multidisciplinary artist and artisan. Her work is inspired by nature and deeply connected to the earth. Interested in and committed to sustainability and individual and social transformation toward a more just world, she teaches creativity courses and workshops as resources for personal development and artistic expression. These courses are offered through institutions and associations, and also in her rural workshop in the center of the island.
She is the author of four publications: Les Dones i la Fusta (The Women and the Whip), Els Follets de Binidonairet (The Leaflets of Binidonairet), Sa Cabra Salada (The Salty Goat and My Own Menorca). The first is a compilation of her experiences and knowledge as a restorer; the last book is a kind of catalog of her watercolor paintings of Menorcan landscapes, with short texts of her own. The other two are short fables written and illustrated by her, with a message of respect for trees and animals.
Since 2021, she has collaborated with PescArt Menorca, a Menorca Preservation project, making tapestries with fishing nets recovered from the island's ports and other recycled materials. These are medium- and large-sized artisanal-artistic tapestries that she exhibits during the summer in different parts of the island, as well as in other locations.

They intertwine my commitment to caring for the environment through my responsibility, as an artist, to create using recycled materials and thus contribute to cleaning up the seas and oceans."
